Max Payne star Mark said: “People were asking me to find out who he was and find out what he looks like. But he just wouldn’t show his face. He is very, very secretive.” The LA-based actor had to get to grips with a gearbox and right-hand drive before going out on the track at Dunsfold Park, Surrey. Ex-rapper Mark, 37, who used techniques he learned on the Italian Job, said: “I’ve never driven with the steering wheel on that side before and the gears are backwards.”He blew up one Chevrolet Lacetti on his first run. And he wasn’t bothered about his lap time shown on Top Gear tomorrow.
He said: “Do I really want to beat Simon Cowell? No, it’s not one of my goals in life. But it was fun.” He first learned to drive at 13, dropping out of school and stealing cars.
He said: “I used to take my mother’s car when she was sleeping.” His first motor was a VW Beetle. “It was unlicensed, unregistered and not insured so I couldn’t bring it home.”
