I've created this little film together with my sister to present my mother's and my own latest oil paintings and some moments of an exhibition we've had this summer. And together with these images, I share with you with my greatest affection my mom's message dedicated to accompany her latest works:
When more than one year ago a doctor made a diagnose to me which stated that I would lose first my left eye's sight than the other's, I thought it would happen by today, and I thought in me that I wouldn't be able to survive that (even tododay I feel in that way). I hadn't the courage to undertake the operation to my eyes at that time, and still today I think I won't do that until ... until I can. To creat these latest works ("Shadow and Light" ; "The Cross"; "At the gate of the Lights"; and "The Clown") painted by me, I needed to collect my greatest efforts and a very huge amount of "will to do and creat" in me, as I feel every day losing something from my most important perception which is my sight ... it's hard but I still have to believe that the Art and my Art is, over being a gift not to waste, is also an instrument to fight for something Good for Everyone, and something Good for my Daughters. I thank every days to God and thanks to my Daughters, ...and to You All for your warm words and support during this period of time!! Be Blessed by the Love of God, and the Love of Yours and of all the Good powers in the Earth! Life and Arts are gifts received from God, and as life is so short, you must live it with pure heart and with the love living in your soul. We have to do not more but only as many good as we can do in our environment or within the borders that our life dictates to us. So be wise but still tend to remain generous with Love toward people who have entered in your life.. With my greatest affection:
